How Does Paintless Dent Repair Work?

The Dent

A dent is metal that has been stretched, usually inward, by the object(s) it came in contact with. This causes stress to both the metal and paint. If left untreated, it could cause further damage to the paint.

The PDR Process

Paintless Dent Repair technicians use very specialized tools to push the dent from the inside out or pull it with a glue gun. Access holes from the factory allow the technician to reach the back of the metal. Specially designed lighting is used to ensure the dent is repaired perfectly and all stress from it is removed.

The Result

The vehicle is restored with precision to 100% of its previous condition while preserving the factory paint.

No. While PDR can repair 95% of dents, it does have limitations. If the paint is chipped or damaged, PDR alone cannot fix it. Once the dent is repaired, the affected area will need to be prepped and painted. We partner with the best body shops in the area. The paint will be done by trusted experts and your vehicle will look great.

The PDR cost for a single dent starts around $200. The cost is based on difficulty and will vary depending on the size and location of the dent(s). For example, a small door ding is much easier and less expensive to repair than a roof dent that requires the headliner to be removed. In many cases, we will be able to quote a price by sending us a photo.

Yes, but it is probably not necessary for a small dent or door ding. Most smaller dents repaired with PDR will cost less than a standard deductible. In cases of hail damage or larger dents, filing an insurance claim will probably be necessary.

Small dents and door dings usually take 1-3 hours depending on the size and location. Hail damage takes 2-5 days depending on the severity. We offer same-day dent repair by appointment. Drop it off before work and pick it up after you get off.
